PennPlanning Climate Adaptation and Resilience Studio

The Master of City and Regional Planning Program at the University of Pennsylvania recently completed a fall planning studio focused on climate adaptation and resilience in Vermont's Capital Region. A team of 14 graduate students with concentrations ranging from transportation to urban design spent the semester on the project that included a week long site visit in October. 

The completed project, available below, provides tangible and thoughtful ideas for the future of the City of Barre, Town of Plainfield, and City of Montpelier. 

The Vermont Bond Bank and Vermont Department and Housing and Community Development worked to present the opportunity to the PennPlanning Department and helped facilitate the many interviews, community interactions, and data used in the final project.
